CR360 Country Risk 360

Legal

Terms of Use & Sale

Effective 20 October 2026

Country Risk 360 (“CR360”) is a trading name and digital product operated by Skylaw Legal (Pty) Ltd, registration number 2021/816322/07, South Africa. These Terms govern access to countryrisk360.com and the purchase and use of CR360 products.

1. Acceptance of these Terms

By using the CR360 website, downloading a free sample, or purchasing a CR360 product, you agree to these Terms together with the Privacy Policy, Refund & Delivery Policy and Disclaimer. If you purchase on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to bind that organisation to these Terms.

2. CR360 products

Single Jurisdiction Assessment. A once-off purchase provides a dated, point-in-time CR360 jurisdiction-risk assessment for the selected jurisdiction, including the applicable classification, supporting risk indicators, source context and methodology information included in the report.

Global Jurisdiction Risk Register. A once-off Global purchase provides the dated CR360 Global Jurisdiction Risk Register together with the corresponding individual jurisdiction PDF reports included in that release. The Excel register and the country reports form one point-in-time product package and should be retained together.

Free sample. CR360 may make one or more reports available free of charge for evaluation. A free report is provided on the same point-in-time basis as paid reports but does not create any continuing obligation to provide future reports or updates.

3. Point-in-time nature of assessments

CR360 reports record the assessment produced from the approved CR360 methodology and evidence accepted for the stated assessment date. A downloaded report does not automatically update after delivery and does not carry a fixed expiry date. The purchaser is responsible for deciding when a refreshed assessment is appropriate under its own risk-based methodology.

A later change to a public source, sanctions regime, regulatory position, CR360 methodology or CR360 classification does not retrospectively alter the content of an earlier dated report.

4. Prices, orders and payment

CR360 products are sold on a once-off basis unless a product is expressly described otherwise. The price and currency displayed at checkout are the amount the purchaser authorises. Where a foreign-currency or indicative price is displayed elsewhere on the website, the checkout price and currency prevail.

Payment is processed through a third-party payment service provider. An order is treated as paid only after successful payment confirmation has been received. CR360 may decline or cancel an order where payment cannot be verified, the order appears fraudulent or unlawful, or the requested product cannot be supplied.

The purchaser must have an opportunity to review the product, price and material order information before finally placing the order.

5. Electronic delivery

CR360 products are digital products delivered electronically. Following successful payment verification, the purchased product will ordinarily be made available through a download page, secure download link or similar electronic delivery method.

The purchaser is responsible for providing accurate contact information, maintaining adequate internet access and using software capable of opening ordinary PDF, XLSX and ZIP files. Global packages may be materially larger than individual jurisdiction reports.

Purchasers should save delivered products securely. CR360 does not promise indefinite re-download or archival access to previously purchased files unless expressly stated.

6. Internal-use licence

Purchase of a CR360 product grants the purchasing organisation a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use that product internally for legitimate compliance, risk-management, onboarding, customer due-diligence, audit and related business purposes.

The purchasing organisation may retain copies of relevant reports on customer, compliance and audit files and may make them available to its personnel and, where reasonably necessary for the organisation’s own compliance or oversight purposes, to its auditors, professional advisers or regulators.

The licence is granted to the purchasing organisation. It does not automatically extend to unrelated entities, customers or other third parties.

7. Prohibited use

You may not resell, sublicense, commercially redistribute, publish in bulk, white-label, scrape, systematically reproduce or make a CR360 product or substantial part of the CR360 database available to third parties. You may not use CR360 material to create or maintain a competing jurisdiction-risk database, report service or commercial data product.

You may share a link to a publicly available CR360 sample for evaluation purposes, but you may not alter it so as to misrepresent its source, methodology, date or conclusions.

8. Product boundary

CR360 provides a jurisdiction-risk assessment for use as an input within the user’s own risk-based methodology. It does not assess the overall risk of a customer, transaction or business relationship; perform sanctions, PEP or adverse-media screening; determine whether a person or entity may lawfully be dealt with; replace customer due diligence or enhanced due diligence; or determine whether business should be accepted, rejected or terminated.

CR360 is not legal, regulatory, tax, investment or other professional advice. Users remain responsible for their own policies, risk appetite, professional judgement and compliance with applicable law.

9. Evidence and methodology

CR360 uses defined evidence sources and deterministic methodology rules to produce jurisdiction classifications. Public evidence may be revised, delayed, withdrawn, unavailable or expressed differently across sources. CR360 may update its methodology, evidence mapping, technical controls and publication processes from time to time.

Unless expressly stated, CR360 does not warrant that every potentially relevant piece of jurisdiction information has been captured or that a report will satisfy every regulatory, audit or internal-policy requirement applicable to a particular user.

10. Intellectual property

The CR360 name, branding, software, report design, compilation, methodology expression, database structure and customer-facing content are owned by or licensed to Skylaw Legal (Pty) Ltd. Rights in underlying third-party public-source material remain with the relevant source owners.

Purchasing a report grants only the licence described in these Terms and does not transfer ownership of CR360 intellectual property.

11. Refunds and statutory rights

Refunds and delivery issues are governed by the CR360 Refund & Delivery Policy. Because CR360 products are digital and are ordinarily made available shortly after successful payment, refunds are not generally offered merely because a purchaser changes its mind after access or delivery.

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or waives a consumer right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where a statutory cooling-off or cancellation right applies, that right remains available subject to the requirements and exclusions contained in applicable law.

12. Website availability and security

CR360 may suspend or alter website functionality for maintenance, security, source failures, technical problems or product changes. We take reasonable measures to protect the service and transaction information, but no internet service can be guaranteed to be uninterrupted or completely secure.

13. Important limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CR360 and Skylaw Legal (Pty) Ltd are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, business, opportunity or data, arising from use of or reliance on CR360 content.

Where liability relating to a paid CR360 product cannot lawfully be excluded, the aggregate liability arising from that product will, to the extent permitted by law, not exceed the amount actually paid for the affected product. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability arising from gross negligence or wilful misconduct where applicable.

14. Third-party services

The website may rely on third-party payment, hosting, infrastructure, email or other technical providers. Those providers may have their own terms and privacy practices. CR360 is not responsible for an external service except to the extent responsibility cannot lawfully be excluded.

15. Changes to these Terms

CR360 may update these Terms from time to time. The version published at the time of a purchase will govern that purchase unless a change is required by law. The effective date above will be updated when material changes are made.

16. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute is subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts having jurisdiction, without limiting any mandatory consumer right to approach another competent forum.
