CR360 Disclaimer
Effective 20 October 2026
Country Risk 360 (“CR360”) is a trading name and digital product operated by Skylaw Legal (Pty) Ltd, registration number 2021/816322/07, South Africa.
1. Jurisdiction risk only
CR360 assesses jurisdiction risk. A CR360 classification is intended to be used as a geographic-risk input within the user’s own risk-based methodology. It is not a complete assessment of a customer, transaction, account, product, delivery channel, business relationship or organisation.
2. CR360 does not perform customer screening
CR360 does not perform sanctions screening, PEP screening, adverse-media screening, identity verification, beneficial-ownership verification, source-of-funds assessment or source-of-wealth assessment. Those controls remain separate responsibilities of the user.
3. Sanctions evidence is not a legal conclusion
A CR360 sanctions indicator does not mean that every transaction involving a jurisdiction is prohibited. Targeted restrictions may apply only to particular persons, entities, sectors, activities or circumstances. Equally, the absence of a CR360 sanctions trigger does not establish that a particular transaction or relationship is lawful.
Users must conduct transaction- and party-specific sanctions analysis and screening where required.
4. Point-in-time assessment
Every CR360 report is a point-in-time assessment. It reflects the CR360 methodology and evidence accepted for the assessment date shown in that report. Events occurring after that date are not automatically incorporated into a previously downloaded report.
The user is responsible for determining an appropriate refresh interval and for obtaining a newer assessment where circumstances require it.
5. Evidence sources and publication risk
CR360 relies on defined external evidence sources as well as CR360-controlled methodology and mapping logic. External sources may contain errors, delays, revisions, omissions, naming differences, technical failures or retrospective changes. CR360 may also need to suspend or review publication where a source changes in a way the methodology cannot safely interpret.
CR360 is designed to provide a consistent and explainable classification framework, not a guarantee that every relevant fact concerning a jurisdiction has been captured.
6. No direction whether to do business
CR360 does not tell a user whether to onboard, retain, reject, exit or transact with a customer or jurisdiction. The significance and weighting of a CR360 classification must be determined within the user’s own policies, risk appetite, legal obligations and professional judgement.
7. No professional advice
CR360 content is provided as a compliance and risk-information product. It is not legal, regulatory, tax, investment, accounting or other professional advice and does not create an attorney-client or other professional advisory relationship between the user and Skylaw Legal (Pty) Ltd.
8. Regulatory and audit use
A CR360 report may assist a user in evidencing the jurisdiction-risk input that was available on a particular assessment date. CR360 does not guarantee that a regulator, auditor, correspondent, counterparty or other reviewer will accept a CR360 classification or the way in which a user has incorporated it into its own methodology.
9. Free sample
A free CR360 sample is provided for evaluation and transparency. The fact that a sample is publicly available does not change the point-in-time nature, scope or limitations of the assessment.
10. Liability
Use of CR360 is subject to the Terms of Use & Sale, including its limitation-of-liability provisions. Nothing in this Disclaimer excludes a right or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
11. Contact
